Through major reports mapping disadvantage across every community in Australia, released in 2007, 2015 and 2021, Dropping off the Edge shows clearly that complex and entrenched disadvantage is experienced by a small but persistent number of locations in each state and territory across Australia.

StandBy is a national service that provides free and practical support to anyone who has been bereaved or impacted by suicide, at any stage in their life. Established in 2002 to meet the need for a coordinated community response to suicide, StandBy is Australia’s leading suicide postvention program. Jesuit Social Services delivers this service in Victoria in North Western, South Eastern, and Eastern Melbourne, and Gippsland.

Community Connections Mentoring
Worth A Second Chance is an advocacy campaign calling for a more humane, fair and effective youth justice system. Founded in 2018, the campaign engages the general public in calling for a reformed youth justice system underpinned by principles of prevention, early intervention, and restorative justice, and shares a positive and hopeful narrative around young people in trouble.
