Victoria Police Diversity Recruitment ProgramThe Victoria Police Diversity Recruitment Program seeks to increase the representation of people from under-represented cultural communities in the Victoria Police recruitment process. This includes, but is not limited to, First Nations Peoples of Australia applicants, Maori or Pasifika applicants and applicants who are of Middle Eastern, East Asian, South Asian, South American and African heritage.This program is delivered by Jesuit Social Services, Victoria Police and Victoria University with support from Africause, MatchWorks, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and AMES Australia and focuses on addressing the challenges encountered by people from under-represented communities who apply to join Victoria Police. The program is designed to assist and provide support to applicants.

Reconnect provides up to 12 months of transitional assistance to adults exiting prison in Victoria. The program acknowledges and addresses the challenges many people face in successfully returning to the community after their release from prison, and ensures a safer and stronger community by addressing the underlying factors that contribute to re-offending.
