Ready Set Work Permaculture

Introduction to Permaculture, Horticulture and Sustainability.

This is a practical, hands on introductory course which helps you to develop key skills and knowledge in permaculture, horticulture and sustainability.

Government funded program for eligible participants.

Whittlesea Secondary College, Laurel St, Whittlesea 3757
Dates: 
March 31, April 1, 2, 7, 8, 9
Time:
10:00AM – 2:00PM

Eligibility: Permanent Resident and/or Australian Citizen/New Zealand Citizen and not enrolled in mainstream secondary school.

Bring your green Medicare card and Concession card.

People with a disability are encouraged to apply.

We acknowledge these workshops take place on Wurundjeri land.

Course Content

During this course you will learn about:

  • Landscaping and water systems
  • Composting and mulching
  • Permaculture principles and design
  • Habitats and ecosystems

Course outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course you gain:

  • Increased knowledge of the fundamental principles of permaculture and sustainability
  • Essential skills in horticulture and landscaping
  • A pathway into AHC20416 Certificate II in Horticulture
  • A statement of participation
