trivia-nightMore than $8,000 was raised recently for Jesuit Social Services’ Homework Club via an annual trivia night held by QMV Super Solutions.

Business Solutions Consultant David Mehmed says the organization is proud to support such a worthy cause.

“Education is easily the most important thing anybody can receive and should always be treated as a right, never a privilege,” he says.

“The work being done by the Homework Club is phenomenal as it means so many children of all ages have access to much-needed support in their studies that they otherwise might not be able to receive at home or school.”

QMV and the Homework Club have worked together for around four years, through QMV team member Jonathan Steffanoni, a previous volunteer with the program.

“In the past we have been involved in the Workplace Giving Program and we are hoping to increase our work together even more in the future,” says David.

David says the recent trivia night was a fun event in which everybody was happy to dig deep for a good cause.

“I’d also have to give a special mention this year to all the people that donated items for the auction, and to QMV consultant, Milan Ciric, who earned a nice cash prize for himself on correctly answering a bonus question, but opted to instead add it to the donation total,” he says.

This year’s event raised $8,367, around $3,000 more than last year’s total.

“The support Jesuit Social Services provides contributes towards giving these kids the best chance to achieve success in whatever they want to do, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that.”
