LPDU also deliver training through reflective practice-based sessions to individual teams. Sessions will be tailored using case examples (provided by the team). All sessions can incorporate a practice framework and can be thematic, based on a particular practice approach. These sessions will begin with a short training overview of the practice approach followed by a case study and reflective practice discussions. LPDU will liaise with leadership staff to arrange time and location.

Sessions on the following themes/practice approaches can be offered:

  • Psychological First Aid
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Narrative Practices
  • Suicide Risk Assessment
  • Living Skills
  • Incident Reporting
  • Family Aware Practice
  • Working with people who have disabilities
  • Case Management
  • Risk Assessments
  • Self-Care

If you are interested in these sessions, or any other areas, please speak with your leadership staff. Leadership staff can then email your training request to or contact Aimee Chiller (Manager, Learning and Practice Development Unit: ph 0428 439 069) to arrange a session tailored to your team.
