Ready Set Work Barista is a practical course designed to prepare people for work or training in the vibrant café scene.

Location: Sydenham Neighbourhood House, 1 Station St, Taylors Lakes 3038
Dates: March 26 & 27
Time: 9:30AM – 3:30PM

Eligibility: Permanent Resident and/or Australian Citizen/New Zealand Citizen and not enrolled in mainstream secondary school

Please bring your green Medicare Card and Concession Card

Course content

In this 2 day course you will:

• Operate a commercial espresso machine
• Learn about the origins of coffee and coffee art
• Make a range of coffees
• Improve your job ready skills
• Increase your confidence

Course outcomes

At the end of Ready Set Work Barista you will have developed skills and knowledge in:

• Operating a commercial espresso machine safely
• Serving customers a range of coffees
• Barista techniques and coffee art
• Finding work in the vibrant café scene
