Our workshops and programs contribute to positive attitudinal change about what it means to be a man in the 21st century, and help to prevent violence and promote well-being.

Modelling Respect and Equality

Modelling Respect and Equality is an innovative, empowering program for adults who are in roles that present opportunities to positively influence boys and men, including teachers, social workers, sports coaches and leaders in faith communities. The six-month-long program aims to build people’s skills and knowledge to help them create change in their community around issues of respect and equality, particularly among boys and men.

To date 200 participants have taken part in MoRE. Here’s what some of them had to say:

“Thank you immensely for the privilege of being part of Modelling Respect and Equality. It leaves its mark on me – indelibly. It shapes how I train educators in Respectful Relationships because I have experienced personal growth and new awareness of and optimism around what may be possible!”

Schools

As part of our mission to support boys and men to live respectful, accountable and fulfilling lives free from violence and other harmful behaviour, we partner with schools to deliver evidence-based programs for students in years 5-12 that challenge harmful norms about gender.

Workshops

The Men’s Project can tailor facilitated workshops that draw on The Man Box research, our Modelling Respect and Equality Program as well as speakers from our Just Voices program. To engage participants and promote learning, the workshops include interactive activities and draw on different types of knowledge including lived experience.

The messages delivered during workshops can be adapted depending on the contexts and objectives that we will identify in partnership with your workplace or school leadership.

Please call The Men’s Project on 03 9421 7600 or e-mail themensproject@jss.org.au to find out more.

Just Voices Speakers Program

Just Voices Speakers Program connects with the community in unique and unforgettable ways. The program offers inspiring keynote speakers, musicians and storytellers from diverse communities, cultures and lived experiences, who can open up conversation about what it means to be a man.

Our presentations are different, just like each of our presenters; however, all stories come with positive messages of resilience and can be adapted to any age or group size.
