A practical, hands on course which prepares you for work in hospitality.

The course combines practical, hands-on, skills training on a commercial coffee machine and grinder with learning activities in hygienic food practices, workplace health and safety and responsible service of alcohol.  Suitable for people looking for entry-level employment in hospitality or further study.

People with a disability are encouraged to apply.

The whole experience was excellent… gaining confidence and gaining new skills.

Course Delivery

Classroom based in a supported learning environment

Duration

17 days over 6 weeks

Time: 9.30am – 4pm

Assessment

Practical activities, case studies, written exercises, online assessments.

Requirements

You will need to attend an information and enrolment session prior to course start date.

Prerequisite

* SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety is a pre-requisite for this unit

There is no cost to you if you are eligible for Victorian (Skills First) and Commonwealth funding. For more information on eligibility please go to Victorian government skills first funding.
