Ignite Cafe is a Melbourne social enterprise cafe where people experiencing barriers to work or training can come to build skills and connections. The cafe provides:

  • a nurturing, supportive and welcoming hospitality environment for volunteers, staff and community members
  • accredited, hands-on cafe training under the guidance of skilled mentors
  • practical pathways into employment

Ignite Cafe is about more than coffee: it’s a safe and inclusive space where all people are free to be themselves.

Coffee with a cause

Ignite Cafe offers people with barriers to work or education the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. Need catering for your next morning tea meeting? Support Ignite Cafe by ordering one of our catering options – get in touch at ignitecafecamberwell@jss.org.au.

I’ve learnt a lot of great skills here, met a lot of great people. Whether you’re looking into hospitality or you love coffee, I would recommend this course.
