Our intensive, tailored support enables young people involved with the justice system to increase their connections with community and engage more deeply with education, training and employment – enabling young people involved with the justice system to reset their lives and become positive, active members of their communities.
How does the program work?
Our Crime Prevention Projects offer intensive case work, tailored support plans, and therapeutic and family-based interventions address the challenges faced by the young people, and divert them away from chronic, long-term offending.
Who can participate?
Our Crime Prevention Projects work with young people aged 14-22 who have ongoing or serious involvement with the justice system and are based in the Melbourne areas of Dandenong, Broadmeadows and Wyndham.
Eligibility varied but is focused on ‘networked’ offending, which is defined by Victoria Police is:
- Youth aged between 10 and 22
- Charged with offences relating to at least 10 different events
- Charged with at least one different co-offender on three different occasions
- Charged with at least one violent offence
- Charged with an offence which has occurred in the last 12 months.

How does someone make a referral?
Referrals to these projects usually come from Victoria Police, Youth Justice and Corrections, but people can self-refer or refer others.
