Jesuit Social Services’ 2025 Federal Election Platform calls for a commitment from all parties and candidates to delivering research, strategies and programs that support children, young people and their families to live safe and healthy lives.
It reinforces the policy and spending priorities we advocated for in our recent federal pre-budget submission, and includes additional recommendations calling for a legislated National Housing and Homelessness Plan and the development of responsive and flexible employment initiatives for disadvantaged jobseekers.
The platform continues our call for federal leadership to ensure all Australian children and young people are protected from harm and supported to live safe and healthy lives. It focuses on policy solutions to address underlying problems through prevention and early intervention in order to transform individual lives, break cycles of disadvantage and abuse, and create lasting social and economic benefits for all Australians.
