Perry House makeover

Jesuit Social Services’ Perry House has had a facelift, thanks to the generosity of two retailers.

Adriatic Furniture and Adairs recently provided discounted furniture, bedding and manchester, which alongside a new paint job by Rob Thomas of Sensory Bespoke, has given a breath of fresh air to the house.

“We were really pleased that Adriatic Furniture and Adairs were so willing to help us out, and the results really speak for themselves,” says Leanne Acreman, General Manager of Housing and Complex Needs.

Perry House is a residential based living skills program for young people with an intellectual disability involved with youth justice and correctional services.

The house provides accommodation for four young people who require support in developing independent living skills for 12 months.

From couches and dining tables to a new TV unit, bookcases, double beds (replacing single beds) in all bedrooms and desks, the new furniture has already been warmly received by residents.
