Major Projects Jobs Service

The Major Projects Jobs Service is an initiative of Jesuit Social Services to support employers in the building and civil construction industry to access job ready young people from culturally diverse backgrounds for entry level and non-professional worksite and administrative roles.

The Major Projects Jobs Service will assist young people aged between 17 and 30 years looking for work in the construction industry with the training and mentoring they need to succeed in the workplace.

The significant growth in construction work across Melbourne and regional Victoria has created challenges for employers – both to find the right people for entry level construction industry positions, and to meet their diversity employment objectives.

Through the The Major Projects Jobs Service we will assist employers to address both of these needs.

We have young people looking for work in the following roles:

  • Civil labourers
  • Rail labourers
  • Construction labourers
  • Traffic controllers
  • Plant and Machinery operators
  • Truck Drivers (MR, HR)
  • Trades Assistants
  • Entry level administration roles
  • Trade apprenticeships
  • Traineeships
  • Cadetships
