Ready Set Work Barista & Food Safety is a practical course designed to prepare people for work or training in the vibrant café scene.

Course Details

  • Location: Sangla & Co., Crefden St, Maidstone 3012
  • Dates: July 29, 30, 31
  • Time: 9.30am to 3.30pm

Eligibility: Permanent Resident and/or Australian Citizen/New Zealand Citizen and not enrolled in mainstream secondary school

Please bring your green Medicare Card and Concession Card

Course content

In this 3 day course you will:

  • Operate a commercial espresso machine
  • Learn about the origins of coffee and coffee art
  • Make a range of coffees
  • Learn about basic food safety
  • Improve your job ready skills
  • Increase your confidence

Course outcomes

At the end of Ready Set Work Barista you will have developed skills and knowledge in:

  • Operating a commercial espresso machine safely
  • Serving customers a range of coffees
  • Barista techniques and coffee art
  • Basic food safety
  • Finding  work in the vibrant café scene
