This submission responds to a 2014 inquiry by the Senate Standing Committees on Economics into the Bill to repeal the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ANAC) Act 2012.

The submission opposes abolishing the ANAC national regulatory framework.

It calls on the Australian Government to work with the states, territories and other stakeholders in order to realise a truly national regulatory framework for the charity and not-for-profit sector, which consolidates regulatory functions and avoids duplication.
