This Consultation Paper is the result of a collaboration between Jesuit Social Services and RMIT University’s Centre for Innovative Justice, which addresses the over-representation of people with acquired brain injuries (ABIs) in the criminal justice system.

The paper gives voice to the experience of participants in the Enabling Justice Project who have an ABI and who have experienced the criminal justice system. It provides stakeholders with powerful insight into how and where the criminal justice system is failing to meet the needs of individuals with ABI. Opportunities for earlier intervention and support are also identified and a range of interim options and questions for consideration

We call upon stakeholders to engage with the options and provide feedback to the Project Coordinator at cij@rmit.edu.au by 31 July 2016.
