Because
Gateway is a new innovation; we are interested in understanding
what works and what doesn't work. Gateway's Research and Evaluation
program seeks to ask questions in order to better understand
our programs, and to explain and assess the results that emerge.
By collecting information from different people involved in
the program (eg. participants, program staff, managers, other
agencies and government) and by asking a range of questions
(eg. via interviews or surveys) we find out whether programs
are working or not. Results are then used to make changes
to ensure that a program works well over time and meets the
needs of all those involved.
'The story of Jesuit Social Services is the sum of all the individual stories of those who have been supported. Stories of pain, loss, unfulfilled hopes. And stories of new beginnings...'
